Bally Online Casino comes to Rhode IslandSummary:

  • Bally’s is the only operator in the state.
  • The last state to launch iGaming was Connecticut in 2021.
  • Over 170 slot games were offered during the initial launch.

Finally! Another state in the US has launched online casino gaming. Rhode Island was the latest state to enter the fray, with Bally’s starting up its iGaming services yesterday.

Players welcomed the option, making Rhode Island the seventh state to feature online casino gaming. The last time a new state entered the market was in 2021 when Connecticut launched its industry.

From Sports Betting to Casino Games

Bally’s began offering online gaming services in Rhode Island in 2019 with the launch of sports betting. The operator is the only provider of casino gaming in the state and the backer of casinos in Tiverton and Lincoln.

Craig Eaton, president of Bally’s Rhode Island Operations, commented that the company is pleased to have launched a new gaming product borne from a partnership with the General Assembly, Governor McKee, and gaming regulators. The partnership will enhance state revenues and better position the state’s casinos for New England’s competitive gaming market.

The state will regulate the new industry, and a huge cut of revenues from services will go to the state. Slots will provide almost 62%, while table games will contribute 15%.

The Online Casino Experience

Bally launched the gaming operations yesterday with around 170 slot games. Players can also access live dealer games, including blackjack and roulette. Bally’s has worked hard to get its iGaming content off the ground, with a live dealer table game studio constructed in Lincoln.

The studio is 4,000 square feet and will offer 75 jobs once it is fully operational. Both part-time and full-time employees will be able to work at the studio. Players must be 21 or older to take part in the iGaming services, which is a bit different from the 18 age limit at the land-based casinos. Players must take note of this before accessing services.

The new platform has a similar look and feel to the one Bally’s offers in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Players who have accessed services in these states will have no issue using the gaming platform.

The operator also has responsible gaming protocols featuring deposit and session limits. Players can also set spending and wagering limits and explore cooling-off periods as needed. A break from 72 hours to up to four weeks can be requested for a break time.

Self-exclusion requests will also be honored by the state. Players have several resources if they need help with any type of gambling problem.
