As of last December, the operator has already spent $160 million of the budget. There are still many more key points to create before the new facility will be fully operational.

Contributing to the Local Economy
Churchill Downs Incorporated has committed to Dumfries and is ready to assist in bringing new jobs and revenues to the town. The company plans to make a $3.6 million contribution to the town, offering $2 million in additional money as a contribution to support the design and creation of a new community center. A public park will also be built on the site.
