Evolution Gaming, one of the biggest and most popular suppliers of live casino games has succeeded in its recent bid to expand its live studio operation in Atlantic City.
The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (NJDGE) approved the petition submitted on November 7, 2019, which sought permission to increase the size of the Evolution live studio to more than double its original size.
The Evolution live studio operation in Atlantic City is located within the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. It opened in August 2018, and is the first Evolution studio in the United States, and the second in North America; Evolution also owns a live casino operation in British Columbia, which was opened a few months before its Atlantic City opening.
The proposed expansion of Evolution’s Atlantic City live studio operation is expected to increase the facility’s size significantly which will enable it to accommodate more gaming tables such as one Money Wheel table, one Side Bet City table, and numerous Blackjack tables.
NJDGE Stipulate Terms And Conditions
Before Evolution can make full use of its new facilities, it must ensure that its operations are fully compliant with the terms and conditions set by the New Jersey regulators. Evolution must ensure that its facilities obey the laws of New Jersey, particularly the State’s laws on CCTV cameras for casinos, which require that gaming tables, whether in active play or idle, must be recorded for documentation purposes.
Evolution must also make sure that the CCTV cameras’ recordings can be accessed at all times by the monitoring system of the New Jersey regulators. The compliance of Evolution’s live studio on security matter remains within the purview of the Hard Rock Security Department given the facility’s location within the Hard Rock property in Atlantic City.
Approval Required After Inspection Check
New Jersey regulators will commence inspections on Evolution’s expanded live studio and will do a detailed check to see if the facility is in full compliance with state laws, particularly with the stringent CCTV and security laws of New Jersey. Only when the NJDGE gives Evolution full approval of the facility, can the expanded live studio be used.
Evolution Gaming is the first live casino provider that was approved for a preliminary waiver by the NJDGE back in 2013. Evolution’s foray into the US market has been touted as a long-term strategy as the company has plans to further extend its reach in the US market by building another live studio in Pennsylvania which is expected to open next year.
