Suspects wanted for casino robberies in FloridaSummary

  • At least three robberies occurred at Cape Coral casinos.
  • Two masked men entered White Sands Arcade with a gun.
  • Two Fort Myers locations were also subject to robberies.

The Seminole Tribe of Florida may have the monopoly on several forms of casino gambling, but there are other options for betting in the state.

In certain areas of Florida, players have access to video casinos, basically an arcade for adults. These venues are usually filled with players having fun but recently in the Cape Coral area, the Florida casinos were subject to harmed robbery. Three different incidents were reported this week with police on the hunt for the culprits.

Details of the Robberies

In Lee County, Florida, police are currently investigating three separate incidents involving a casino robbery. It is unclear if the incidents are connected but they did happen on the same day within relatively short time frames.

The White Sands Arcade in Cape Coral was one of the venues affected by the criminal activity. Reports show that two men wearing masks entered the casino and used a gun to force an employee to hand over cash. Police have not reported how much was stolen in the robbery.

The Lucky Turtle in North Fort Myers was also attacked, with deputies responding quickly to the incident. Another casino, this one in Fort Myers near Winkler Avenue, was also subject robbery. The incident occurred just after 1:00 pm.

Police officers on each scene are discussing whether or not the incidents are connected. We should have some idea in the coming days if the robbers appear to be the same individuals in each case.

Earlier Robbery in Iona

Before the Cape Coral incidents, another casino was robbed earlier in the week, this time in Iona. The action was captured on surveillance cameras, so police do have leads to follow. In this case, two men are seen on camera going inside The Vegas Experience at around 7:30 pm.

The men played several gambling games for a few hours. At around 11:30 pm, the men were seen sitting at a game called “Monster King of Under Water“. While seated at the machine, the men worked on the lockboxes of the games and were able to remove a large sum of money before they left.

No additional information is known about the robbery at this time. The security footage shows the men clearly, but they are wearing masks due to COVID-19 precautions, or to hide their faces from the cameras. The exact facial features are hidden under the paper masks.

If the men are not identified soon, it begs the question as to if the facilities will be hit again or if others will be targeted. If the same men are involved, it would not be surprising to see them try again after doing so without getting caught.
