$37.9M Revenue in February Reported by the IGC
According to reports from the Indiana Gaming Commission (IGC), Hard Rock’s revenue of $37.9 million after paying winning bettors went over any of its 11 competitors in the state for the 28th month in a row.
The figure marks a 10% boost compared to February 2023 when the Gary gambling destination recorded a win of $34.4 million, according to data from the IGC.
The Gary-based casino’s slot machine play raised to a total of $273.3 million in February while the state-best win was $26.2 million, from a slot win of $25.6 million on $258.9 million in play in February 2023.
The venue was also in the lead in terms of table game play. All in all, more money was wagered there in February than at the tables located in the other three casinos in Northwest Indiana combined.
Hard Rock in Gary Accounts for 19% of Indiana’s Total Casino Win
The Indiana casino also accounted for 19% of the state’s $199.7 million in total casino win in February 2024.
The venue’s president, Matt Schuffert, called the previous month “a very exciting month” despite the overall drop in the gaming market in Northwest Indiana.
He further explained that they were able to grow their gaming business by 10% over last year while giving “minimal credit” to the mild weather and additional leap year day.
The president added that the casino currently has tickets on sale for over 20 upcoming shows and is getting ready to introduce its spring menus in the upcoming weeks.
Schuffert added that fresh gaming machines are constantly added to the venue, closely following feedback from customers.
