Harrah’s Las Vegas Celebrating 50th Anniversary

It’s time to celebrate in Las Vegas! Harrah’s Casino has been in operation for 50 years, and the property wants to use the entire month of October to celebrate.

The casino first opened in 1972 as the Holiday Casino (pictured, bottom) and became Harrah’s in 1992 when William F. Harrah acquired the venue. Since that time, Caesars Entertainment has opened 17 more Harrah’s branded casinos across the United States.

Celebrating in October

The big anniversary is a cause for celebration, and the casino plans to go big. The venue has a list of events and specials for October to treat players in style. Senior Vice President and General Manager of Harrah’s Las Vegas, Dan Walsh, commented on the casino having offered services for half a century.

Harrah’s is an iconic name in entertainment and hospitality at the heart of the Strip. The anniversary would not be possible without the loyalty of the guests, support from the community, and service of the team members.

The casino recently completed a few upgrades to provide even more great options for guests. Visitors can enjoy renovated hotel rooms, a modernized gaming floor, and new dining and drink options.

Many Events to Come

Harrah’s 50th anniversary celebration is a big deal, and all month long, the casino will feature special events. The special month started with Donny Osmond revealing a song just to commemorate the casino’s 50th.

The anniversary bash will include themed specials across the casino property. Social media sweepstakes are planned, where players can win prizes as well as 50% off show tickets. October is the perfect time to come and enjoy all of the shows Harrah’s has to offer at a huge discount.

Shows include Donny Osmond, Menopause The Musical, HYPROV: Improv Under Hypnosis and X Country. Visitors can also receive 50% off the FlyLINQ Zipline and High Roller Observation Wheel.

Special menus are also planned for the restaurants located on-site. Ramsay’s Kitchen offers a specialty menu for the anniversary, including several meat options like salmon, chicken, ribeye, and crab cake. Ruth’s Chris Steak House also has a special menu for October.
