It’s time for an upgrade! The Live! Casino Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania at the Westmoreland Mall is preparing to add new entertainment options, if approved by state gaming regulators. The upgrades are massive, considering the facility has only been open for one year. Included in the plans are a new poker room, electronic gaming tables, an even center, FanDuel FanCave, and a redesigned high limit gaming aera.
Details of the Upcoming Additions
According to casino general manager, Sean Sullivan, the casino has decided to expand everything in order to meet the needs of consumers. The casino wants to constantly improve things; thus the changes are being made to offer more to visitors.
The poker room is considered a highlight of the plans, as players will have access to seven gaming tables within the new space. Located next to the Sports & Social Steel City area, the room was supposed to be a banquet area, but the casino feels it will serve the public better by offering poker gaming.
To prepare for the new poker room, the casino opened a free dealer school to train individuals to work in the space. Just last week, 24 people graduated and are now ready to deal cards in the poker room. Nearby, guests will find the event center, a 7,000 square foot space that can be booked for special events, parties, weddings, etc.
For table game fans, the property will add 20 new electronic gaming tables on the casino floor by December 23. Roulette and blackjack are included in the offering. The casino will place 14 of the machines near the main casino bar and six actually inside the bar space. The high-limit room of the property will be reconfigured to include 18 additional slot games.
FanDuel FanCave for Sports Betting Enthusiasts
For sports betting fans, the casino plans to add a FanDuel FanCave. This is a trademarked facility created by the sports betting brand to provide a new type of experience for bettors. At Live! Pittsburgh, the space will be small, only 826 square feet in size, and offer 13 leather recliners for viewing sports games.
Sports betting terminals are also included for all betting needs. The FanCave is going to be situated on the second floor, one level above the sportsbook. This is an experience option, providing sports fans with a space near the bowling and Skee-Ball area for easy access to family fun.
This week, the Gaming Control Board should vote on the plans and possibly give approval. The casino needs to be given the green light before services can begin.
