Summary:
- Various offers are being provided to reward customers.
- Promotions may include a complimentary stay.
- The offer is to thank players for their loyalty.
In an attempt to appease its reward members, MGM Resorts International is reportedly sending out promotional deals.
News of the deals started online via X as social media blogger Vital Vegas reported a new deal from the brand for his loyalty. MGM was then approached and stated special offers were being sent out to reward members to show appreciation for their loyalty.
Special Deals for Reward Members
Vital Vegas stated on X that MGM reached out via email and wanted to provide ‘heartfelt gratitude’ for his unwavering loyalty and patience during the events from September. MGM stated they appreciate the trust and commitment and are dedicated to showing appreciation.

The post also stated that whether the individual chose to stay with MGM or cancel/postpone the trip, the company is steadfast in its resolve to make up the issue. This seems to say that MGM is still having issues with MGM Rewards. It is expected that updates to the rewards program will be done in the next few weeks, but the exact time frame is unknown.
MGM was asked about the special deals and how a guest would qualify for a reward. The brand stated that they provide various offers by sending communications directly to the customers. One would assume that the offers will vary in value based on the reward level of a player, meaning higher-tier players will get better deals than lower-tier players.
Is It Enough?
The cyberattack is costing MGM Resorts millions in losses due to system shutdowns and potential lawsuits. The attack is no fault of their own, but were enough security measures in place to try and thwart such an issue? Is the reward offer enough to keep players coming back to the MGM properties to enjoy services?
If you have ever had your personal information stolen or hacked, you most likely don’t do business with the company associated with the breach or are leery about them. But you are just one individual. In the case of MGM, tens of thousands of people were affected. If the majority of customers decide to move on to another casino brand, it would be a huge hit to the operator and affect its bottom line drastically.
Over the coming months, it will be interesting to see if the reward offers help the company or if players are just not ready to do business with a company that suffered such a huge data breach.
