Details of the robbery are still coming in with police on the hunt for the person involved.
The Latest Las Vegas Robbery
In this most recent incident, the assailant walked inside the Silverton Casino and robbed the cashier cage. It is unclear if the individual had a gun or other weapon. According to police, the person was able to leave the casino with cash in hand.
Police were called to the scene around 3:30 am and began investigating. As of writing, no one has been arrested for the crime. We also do not know if any surveillance footage is available for police to try and narrow down the suspects.
In many casino robbery cases, there is security footage of the individual arriving and leaving the scene, even details of vehicles used. Hopefully such details are available in this case to help catch the person involved.
String of Robberies in Sin City
This incident is just the latest in a string of robberies occurring in Las Vegas. On December 12, a man came into the Green Valley Ranch Casino in Henderson and robber the casino cage, just before nine in the evening. It is unclear how much money he was able to get away with.
On November 16, a person entered the Gold Coast Hotel and Casino and threatened to kill a cashier if funds were not provided. This person was able to get away with $30,000. This was the largest amount that a robber was able to get away with when considering each incident.
In early November, an individual robbed the Resorts World Casino cage in the early morning hours, taking $6,000 from the property. The robber gave the cashier a note stating that they should fill the bag with money, or they would be shot. About a week later, Zubaid Ibrahim AI Jarmi was arrested for the robbery.
It is unclear what the motives for these robberies are. Were they simply incidents that have no reasoning behind them or perhaps has the upcoming holiday season caused individuals to become desperate for money.
Hopefully, 2022 will end with no further incidents on the strip in Las Vegas. Casino officials are on heightened alert and are being vigilant to ensure that robberies are thwarted in the future.
