The hotel and casino company based in the Summerlin South suburb of Nevada has kickstarted the construction of its $116 million Phase II expansion on Monday.
Over 25,000 Sq Ft of Extra Casino Space
The ambitious project is expected to take a year to complete and will significantly enhance the property’s offerings.
Patrons will enjoy over 25,000 square feet of extra casino space for enhanced entertainment opportunities.
The expansion will feature a high-limit slot and bar area which will house 230 new slot machines.
An exclusive high-limit room will host 120 of those slots.
2,000 More Parking Spaces
Key upgrades include a new parking structure with nearly 2,000 spaces, designed to provide guests with convenient access to the property.
The new parking facility will be located just south of Durango’s southern casino entrance.
During construction, the property will continue to offer complimentary valet services as well as surface parking and access to the north parking garage, ensuring minimal disruption for guests.
Excellent Debut for Durango, Ongoing Company Growth
Durango’s expansion plans were first announced in early 2024, just months after the property’s grand opening in December 2023.
Since its debut, the resort has received glowing reviews and made a significant impact on casino gaming revenue in southwest Las Vegas, according to data from the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
Beyond the Durango project, Red Rock Resorts’ subsidiary is also investing in extensive renovations at its Green Valley Ranch and Sunset Station properties in Henderson.
These multimillion-dollar upgrades match the company’s broader strategy to boost its portfolio while meeting the constantly growing demand in the local market.
With Durango’s initial success and the upcoming Phase II expansion, Station Casinos is expected to keep solidifying its presence in the region.
