  • Fiesta Henderson, Fiesta Rancho, and Texas Station are on the list for demolition.
  • The casinos have been shut down since March 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic began.
  • The three land sales will include over 100 acres of land.

Station Casinos is ready to make big changes regarding three now defunct casinos. The hotel and casino company will demolish three of its Las Vegas properties and sell the associated land to interested developers.

The Fiesta Henderson, Fiesta Rancho and Texas Station shut down in March 2020 due to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic and never reopened. Station Casinos now sees the potential for the land sales and will be demoing the properties soon.

Customers Have Moved on to Other Station Casino Venues

The removal of the casinos from Las Vegas will not have a huge impact on the company as the customers of the venues have moved on to other properties. Guests of Fiesta Rancho and Texas Station now go to the nearby Santa Fe Station. There is also a Wildfire casino nearby. Players who frequented Fiesta Henderson now go to Sunset Station and Green Valley Ranch.

Scott Kreeger, the president of Station Casinos, commented that the properties have been important to the business of the company for many years. It was a sad decision to decide on the permanent closures and the company recognized the former team members and thanked them for their hard work, and making guests always feel welcome.

New Resort in North Las Vegas to Come

Station Casinos may be losing three properties, but it is venues that have been shut down for over two years now. The company has plans to develop more casinos in the future including in Henderson and North Las Vegas.

In speaking with the Review-Journal, Station Casino’s Kreeger said that the company is currently working with North Las Vegas to develop a new large-scale casino resort. The company is also interested in a tavern and small non-restricted space. Investment plans are being considered for North Las Vegas. In this region, Station Casinos is negotiating with officials on the creation of a project in a gaming enterprise district.

The company already calls Henderson home as it is the location of most of the company properties. Kreeger stated that Station already has a great relationship with the city and are looking at additional developments or the future.

Along with new options, the company is looking to renovate Sunset Station and adding new gaming amenities and restaurants to Green Valley Ranch. It will be interesting to see what the brand does and just how the land that was formally casinos will be utilized in the future.
