Travelers to Tunica, Mississippi this past weekend expected to enjoy a little casino gambling and dining, with no fear of any type of attempted robbery crossing their mind. Unfortunately, that is what happened over the weekend when three individuals decided to target visitors of the Gold Strike Casino and the Horseshoe Casino in an attempt to steal from the patrons.
The Tunica County Sheriff’s Office is currently on the hunt for three men in connection with the armed robberies. Thankfully, no one was injured during the robberies and surveillance footage will help to catch those involved.
Details of the Robberies
According to police, then men went from the Gold Strike to the Horseshoe and in the process, robbed two different people armed with a weapon. It is unclear as to what type of weapon was involved but we do know that two different men were approached and threatened. Police have not said what was taken from the victims affected by the armed robbers.
Security cameras of one of the real money casinos was able to capture images of the three men believed to be connected to the crimes. The images were taken as the men were coming and going from the venue. The images are clear, so police are hoping this will help to catch the individuals quickly.
Police are asking anyone that may have information on the case to contact the local crime stoppers group or the investigation division.
